Why Computer is Too Slow? 10 Tips to make it Faster

Slow PC
Hello Everyone I am Ron Vincent and I will be your Host today.

Today its my first post here and  I wish to share you guys why most of our old or even new computers performance decreases even if it has good configuration(i.e even if it has a good processor and a good amount of ram). This must a serious question which must have hunted you for several times.

Lets move onto different Basic issues (symptoms) briefly.
  1. My Computer Hangs/Shuts down in Between - Due to overheating of motherboard or other peripherals
  2. It takes lot time to load a program properly - Due to less priority given to it due to Spyware ,Viruses and Root kits.Or can be caused due to fragmented files in the discs or even due to dust !!
  3.  My Computer takes more time to boot up - Due to unwanted files at the start-up and pretty less disk clean-ups
  4. My computer shows less space , even though i do not have any programs installed-As we use our computer many type of unwanted files are created which are mostly of no use to us.

10 Sure and Quick Tips to Give a try

These  steps doesn't  requires a lot of work, but now as technology develops we have our own dream for easier solution for this matter, the above mentioned work includes eliminating redundant registry entries, disable unwanted start-up programmes, get rid of temporary files, stop unwanted services and tuning up your system.
So why waiting for ,Lets begin.

  1. In order to remove viruses and other spy wares ,the best way is to first install a good antivirus on your computer, like Avast,Norton ,Panda,Kaspersky ,Bitdefender etc .I use and prefer Bitdefender.
If your windows copy is Original I would recommend you to always use Microsoft Security Essentials

  2. Defragment your system completely .This arranges many  fragmented files .I suggest you to do this at least once in 2 week.
There are third party softwares like Contig to make it easier.

  3. Uninstalling unwanted softwares,i.e instead of multiple Media Players you can install VLC or KMplayer which will play almost all file formats.(You can use Virtual Box for running softwares for temporary basis.)

  4. Run Disk Clean-Up Utility to Clean up the mess.

  5. Don't run Programs which aren't compatible with your PC.(Upgrading many softwares would cause this too)
  6. Deleting Unwanted files like in temp files which you can delete by going to Run and by typing %temp% in it.
  7. Disable the Unwanted Start-ups by going to it.or that Go to  Run -> TypeMSCONFIG -> Start-up -> Disable Unwanted Start-ups.
You can use Third part softwares like Soluto to make your booting faster

  8. I recommend you to either use third party services like Tune Up Utilities or even freeware such as CCleaner which can be used as  a System Tuning Utility. These would help you to do almost all works mentioned  above with ease.
  9. Bonus Tip - If you are using  Windows Vista or above you can use Ready Boost to do this.
ReadyBoost for 7 and ReadyBoost for Vista
  10. (Advanced)Clean Up Your Registries and always Keep a backup of it.
  11. (Advanced)Clean Format from scratch would give you a good performance. Read about installing windows from scratch by Amit Agarwal
I am sure that by doing the above mentioned steps your computer's speed will be boosted and will  give you the desired performance according to your needs (it also depends on you hardware.)
